Joyeux anniversaire ! This French Happy Birthday song can often be heard over here in France, it starts with the lyrics: "Bon anniversaire, nos vœux les plus sincères" (our most sincere wishes). This is an ORIGINAL four part a cappella harmonization for male voices... with a barbershop flavor ! The arrangement and audio learning tracks are available on my website (see below). Singing in French is always so nice, the vowels are naturally so open and tall so it makes for a beautiful tone

I agree. Spanish, too. We really vocalize or ennunciate. English should be too, but people don't vocalize. If I were deaf, I wouldn't be able to read their lips . Its impossible!. Most English speakers don't move their lips and talk through their teeth. I wonder if that is the reason why ASL American Sign Language was created. Smile. . My niece is deaf. Everybody in the family learn to ennunciate so that she could understand us. Now she's 50 and she teaches Spanish sign language.

For what I remember of my French lessons, in a spoken French, usually they never pronounce the last letter. Only when singing or poetry, to complete the required syllables. Poetic license! Licencia poética.

It’s so open that it’s really hard for an English speaker to follow the lyrics because the pronunciation is so different. I can read the French words with my English mind and still get lost because they just don’t sound like my mind thinks they’ll sound!🤣😂
