I love it when you can't immediately decide whether you like or love a song, and then a few days later something happens - the song, just by sheer chance, becomes the soundtrack to a memorable moment in your life and then instantly becomes a part of you forever and no longer does it matter your opinion of the art, because now that art has become a part of your story, forever - thank you bon iveR

Why is it that on every Bon Iver vid there is a comment at the top that makes me cry? I mean, much of the lyrics are really cryptic (in a good way). I think that is one of the reasons I love Bon Iver. The lyrics are open for so much interpretation and yet at the same time are somehow really emotional. The feelings behind the lyrics are so real. I read an article about this song where it was hinted that Justin Vernon wrote this song about having panic attacks. ”It might be over soon” becoming a mantra to overcome them. I really can relate. After a burnout in a job I really loved (and still do) I developed symptoms of panic attacks. I changed careers, but the work now involves situations that really induce those kinds of symptoms. There’s no way of escaping them. For me, he only solution is to go against them and try to achieve my potential in the situations. This is so as to teach myself that I can do this. If I feel a panic attack is coming I’ll always use this. ”It might be over soon.”

The sound may be different, but that is who Bon Iver is. They want to make us listen and search for for meaning in their music. I'm still trying to find it from their new stuff but this song came out coincidentally enough on my 23rd birthday after a serious shitty year of being 22. It felt like a fresh start.

I can't even begin to think how the regular version on the album could top this. I love it, and I'm so excited.

Long time since I cried like this over a song.. It embodies the sence of calm that you can find in your own depression and knowing that it soon can be over.

Exactly! I reminds me of that peace I feel when I finally realise I can be happy again after a depressive episode.

,2017 this came out , I was and still am blown away by this piece of art . To think I didn't love autotuning , it's how you use it , just like a guitar . By the way a guitar was way back acoustic . It's all about perspective in you're ears

What I understood in this masterpiece was that Justin can't find anywhere to be safe or anything to trust, and he's just about ready to give up. But that little hope in him is telling him "it might be over soon". Whether the thing he's talking about is a deity or not he's telling it "there I find you marked in constellations". Justin yearns to discover things "as I may stand up with a vision". But remember to him, it all might be over soon.

+Richard Lindsey Yes, im not doing something regretful. It's just a form of expression, saying that I'd die happily after listening to this (if it incidentally/accidentally happens). Thanks for worrying, stranger.

I feel like some songs have to hit you in the right moment for you to fully appreciate them. I listened to this song for the first time 2 weeks before graduating high school, knowing I wouldn't see 90% of those people ever again and this song made me fully appreciate the two weeks I had left and I don't know whether or not I would have loved it this much otherwise. Also I am not at all criticizing the song, I'm criticizing myself for even thinking there's a chance that a song like this could've flown under my radar. Hopefully that makes since.
