A million more Bon Iver records please. God bless.
@davenorcup26475 жыл бұрын
It is so refreshing to hear someone talk so openly and to know that he is making a record purely for what he believes in and I believe that connects with people so much more. There is too much competition out there in the music industry and I feel it definitely takes away from 'real' honest music when artists are too busy trying to satisfy record companies and make a living from music. We need more Justin's in the music industry.

I honestly don't know much about Justin Vernon, but for years I have always been a fan of Bon Iver music. The music really puts me in just a different place and makes me think deeply about everything, life, nature, the world etc. I cant think of another artist that makes me feel any other way. I think its crazy and amazing that I live in Wisconsin and for him to be raised so close to me. Then I hear that his lucky number is 22. That is crazy because that has been my lucky number for about ten years... I also was raised catholic but do not have a specific religion. I have a pretty open mind. So interesting, I use to have a favorite number 2 and also since I am a taurus and my birthday is May 2nd I believe I picked the number at a young age. Going off on a tangent here.. I enjoyed listening to this and did not know that he has battled anxiety throughout writing his music. I do suffer from anxiety and depression, it is always on and off, I am not getting any help or seeing any counselors just because I don't really think it will help much. I find my own healing through music, nature etc. Literally teared up listening to what he has said about anxiety and how it has affected him. I love just listening to what Justin has to say, he has such a genuine down to earth personality. I would love to just sit down and have a chat with him, doubt that will ever happen but it would be amazing. I feel like everything Justin says I learn something new and I love his outlook on life. Thank you for being so honest and open and a good human. Thank you for everything you have done Justin and band! -Stephanie

Okay, take two. I had the distinct FORTUNE to be able to get a ticket to last night's performance at the Kings theater in Brooklyn. And the only word I can use is astounding. Completely collaborative, it was a perfect marriage of outstanding modern dance and music. The dancers were amazing, the ways they made their bodies float, pierce the air, evoke the lyric meaning, whoa. The finale was "Naeem" and it blew my breath away...STANDING OVATION, NO SHIT. What I will say is that I believe that the people up in the mezzanine near me were expecting "A greatest hits/fan favorite" kind of setlist. Me, the only thing that could have topped Naeem, would have been Holocene.
