Amen. Justin Vernon is my favorite artist, but I LOVE Taylor, and I’m not ashamed. She’s SO talented, especially lyrically. Of course, this ended up becoming my favorite song on her album immediately! And, like somebody else said - artists appreciate artists. I love her concerts with a lot of swifties but I love her surprise show ups more. Because nobody is crazily freaking out, they are excited to see a superstar and listen to her sing but they are still in a calm mood which makes the duet more entertaining.

Thanks to all the Bon Iver fans (I’m one of them!) being so kind about Taylor! (I’m a fan of hers, too!) Some people can be such music snobs. I should know. I was one of them in high school and my 20s. What a waste of time! I missed out on such amazing music during that time. Because of Joe's low voice and how well it fit the song, they decided that it needed to be a duet with someone who has a low register. They asked Bon Iver as they are both big fans of him. Justin Vernon, lead singer of Bon Iver, was inspired by the song and wrote the bridge. The making of a masterpiece. Thanks guys.
