My mom lived with me the last 7 yrs. of her life. I heard, & watched the video several times. I shared it with her, & she really loved it. She had the beginning of Alzheimer's and dementia, but she remembered that song. She passed away March 14, 2023. So I specifically had Hallelujah played at her funeral. I suffered from infertility tried for so many years to get pregnant. I always prayed to god to please bless me with a child. I was watching a mother play with her son on tik tok one day I cried and screamed to God "God please give me a child!!!!!" that same day something in me told me to take a pregnancy test... it came back positive! I couldnt believe it I was in tears and in shock!I took more pregnancy tests and they all came back positive! A week after I found out I was pregnant I found a cross necklace a few steps away from where I worked at and I then knew it was really God all along and never left my side. I now have a 11 month healthy beautiful baby boy. He's turning 1 in a few days! God is good!

That is awesome. My sister had a bunch of surgery done in her uterus. She was absolutely crushed because she wanted a child so bad and was now told she would never be able to have one. She tried and tried and tried and tried with her husband, and the doctor told her it's impossible. And it was. But as the Bible teaches with God all things are possible. And for all of the people that think I'm stupid for believing that, I just smile and pray for you because I believe that your knee will bow, and that there will come a day when you will plead with our great creator, and he will say depart from me for I never knew you. Anyway, she was praying about it everyday. One day she woke up from a dream crying. She was crying because in the dream God told her she was pregnant with a son, but she woke up to find out it was not true, only a dream. Sometime later (a few weeks) she started having early pregnancy signs. She gave birth to my nephew Wyatt. He's an awesome kid. Well he's in his late teens now. And a Chess Master!

Most artists' interpretations are too sweet, too gentle, too melodic, too soaring..something. This is in fact a very beautiful but deeply bitter song, and these guys nail that. Leonard Cohen would be proud. This version is understated and beautifully sung, just the way it was meant to be. Bon Jovi isn't oversinging it or going for the power notes or using it to show his vocal range like so many artists who cover this song. I was never a Bon Jovi fan, but I did meet him once at a Holiday Inn in the early 80's. He and the band were really great people. They played in the arcade with a group of kids. I gained a lot of respect for him then. He is really good here.

I could listen to this song ten times a day at least. It does not matter who sings it, I melt in my footsteps. I'm by far a real religious person, but this song lifts my whole meaning of life up and I can feel the spirit inside of me. Jon bon jovi playing guitar like he's on fire, amazing guitar playing, backup and lead guitarist at that connect, did you hear him sing, he was lead singer, backup singer and singing harmonies... He ever did a guitar play off against Bruce Springsteen and jon won. That night jon bon jovi was back, amazing what a few months rest did for him.

this is one of the best songs ever written but this is far from the best version. bonjovi is an incredible artist but he doesnt have the vocal range to really dig into the song. he should stick to his bed of roses if he wants to sing emotional songs
