In 1987-88, I was an exchange student and stayed at a wonderful family in California. They had a boy a year younger than I was. He loved Bon Jovi, and he made me love Bon Jovi. Two years later in March, he was on a ship and it sank in the Berling Sea, and he never came back. Whenever I listen to this song, my eyes get full of tears.

I was a kid when this came out, it was my sister's favorite band and her favorite album if all time! She was madly in love with Bon Jovi and thought he was the sexiest man alive during this time. I can see why she felt that way. She was older than me so she would go to concerts and bring her little bro along with her (me). She took me to my first concert and it was Bon Jovi slippery when wet tour at Alpine Valley. It was one of the coolest things I ever did as a kid. I just want to say God rest her soul!I love you and miss you Sis! I haven't listened to this in decades but came across it by chance. It was an amazing album. This song made me really sad!
