Jon is amazing, but he's been so tense and serious through his life that he hasn't (To this day) learned how to take life a little less seriously and enjoy the fruits of your labor. He never seems very happy especially now that he knows he's not going to live forever.

Not entirely true, you'll notice the change in demeanour around the time when he took over management. All interviews he used to do he had life in his eyes and a genuine smile, bylut when he went corporate everything changed.

The Bon Jovi of the 80s and early 90s was the band I knew. Once they went country their legacy was shot. Will always love Richie and his talent. Part of me always wishes he left Bon Jovi and would have had a great career even as a solo artist after the New Jersey album. I think he’s way more talented then Jon and should have done some songs as a lead vocalist, the way KISS incorporated gene as a lead vocalist. But Jon and his family were too money hungry and had to make Bon Jovi their own.

He has so many demands on his time ( they all do so it is work, it is what their profession is) they have families to get to or promotional work, interviews etc. so isn’t it better they focused on the work to make the process more efficient. Perhaps during writing or more informal setting, he may relax more. It is respectful to all those present to not waste people’s time. You can laugh about when you don’t have millions of dollars riding on it!

They just had to know this was way down the ladder of what awesome music they were making in the early years. This is country, so not Bon Jovi. Richie knew it. Deep down Jon knew it. Blech. i know it's a rehearsal but Jon looks thoroughly bored here, and these particular songs are a real plodding mediocre bore too. Highlights of the album were any other day and memory.. and at least i love this town has a bit of energy to it. This is just sleepy
