Cantonné à la seule ligne 7bis ,isolée au nord-est de paris,ce matériel est pourtant novateur pour l’époque.
Successeur du train test Boa ,incorporant diverses technologies et aménagements qui seront adoptées par les générations de matériels qui suivront, et ce, dès le Mp89.
Ce matériel est déjà prévu pour la reforme dès que son successeur le Mf19 arrivera ...
La vidéo permet d'entendre le son du système de contrôle Alstom avec des éléments GTO donnant ce son en boite de vitesse si caractéristique,unique sur le réseau parisien mais existant sur les métros Alstom à l’étranger (Seoul,Singapour,Chine,Londres).
