Im just from Canada. seriously the best 'trains' ive ridden have been a single track overground one, along with subways a few times in Toronto. This looks like bliss to ride and even experience. Also kudos for English included in the intercom too, Honto Arigatou to them for sure.
@dunetiger Жыл бұрын
@@kimmyera174 our trains are pretty trash compared to the rest of the world. It's all freight in Canada except for VIA trains which aren't that great and too expensive to be used regularly. I suppose the commuter GO trains are our best ones in Toronto.

I haven’t been to Tokyo since 2014. Yamanote line gives me so much fond memories. My most recent trip to Japan, I spent most of my time in Kansai and Hiroshima prefecture, I went all the way down to Hakata but only for a day trip to eat Ramen and walk around the area. I love this! I love metro, cuz I live far away from our capital city where a metro is located, and I rarely visit it. We don't even have railways in our city! But I remember when I've been in Moscow, and Yamanote line is very similar to our "Moscow Central Circle", which is actually not a metro line, but "on-ground" railway, but integrated into Moscow metro system. But there's something special I noticed while listening to this video: there's a unique chime sound on each station (I'm not sure is it arrival sound or departure one), it adds so much vibe! And also this "arigatoo gozaimasu" :) Japan is so polite country! I wish I could visit it one day! P. S. and also numbering the stations line "JY 12" is really helpful, some station names are hard to catch actually. It's a problem of Moscow metro: the names are just transliterated from Russian to English and would sound like "Novoslabotskaya" or "Ulitsa Tisacha Devyatsot Pyatogo Goda", ouch! It's just hard not just to catch, but even read! So yea, Tokio metro is so good at making things comfortable :) Arigatoo gozaimasu for this video! :D

Thank you so much for your comment! We really appreciate you watching and listening to the video! That is a really interesting bit of information that you shared. We think the Japanese train system tries to make things as simple as possible, so many people can ride it, especially since Tokyo prepared for the 2020 Olympics.

Thankyou for this, I stayed in Tokyo for a little over a month and just came back from my trip having regretted not recorded the audio of the stops and the announcements (especially where I stayed at Uguisudani Station). The Yamanote Line announcements was like ASMR 😮

This is interesting to see how close the stations are to each other. You can actually see some of the stations already from the previous station, but when you have to walk that distance you realise it's not as close as it seems.
@audioodyssey34126 ай бұрын
It's definitely a bit farther to walk from one station to the next, but Tokyo is definitely a walkable city, compared to other cities.

”depart at 18 min 30 sec because the later train is delayed” Is that means the driver is instructed to depart later than scheduled time to prevent a phenomenon like “bus bunching” ?
