Nice walkthrough. I've tried both fins and a prop and (IMO) each has advantages and disadvantages. We can go faster with the fins, but ours don't reverse (early version of Hobie's big fins on the PA17T), and the fins are awkward in very shallow water - we deal with both of those negatives with a trolling motor. The props are easier to change from forward/reverse, but I was never able to match the speed of the fins. We we can maintain the speed of 4-5 mph for long distances with the fins (with sail and trolling motor, we reached 10mph for a mile or so once). I was never able to maintain 4-5mph with a prop. I also had about the same problem with the prop drive as with fins in shallow wager, though the prop is easier to pull up from the water. Overall, nice looking kayak. Maybe if Bonafide sent me one of those that I could show to my 4-5 subscribers, I could review it 😂🤣😂

Get 4 ft of 100# Mono and a couple crimp sleeves to fit and make short Lanyards for the Pedal drive Hold downs

I started with a cheap paddle kayak, loved fishing from it, then jumped to a old town predator pedal drive yak. It's night and day different, I can't go back to paddling haha. Also, a prop makes more sense to me than the kicky fins on a hobie but I haven't tried one.

Those were good sized tuna to fit into the hull storage. For size reference, about how many could you have fit at one time?
@BeardedBrad922 жыл бұрын
I had 2 in there and could’ve Atleast fit 1 more. They were 20lb each
@allenstephenson35542 жыл бұрын
You said the front compartment wasn't water tight and that you later had to drain water after tuna fishing. How much water are we talking about? A cup, pint, gallon? If waves coming over are filling it up how long before it swamps they kayak?

Here’s an idea for those tabs you could put a screw into that foot rest right below that tab and put a bungee cord or rope or some type of a general zip tie or something and so if it does come out it’ll just hang around that screw and you could do that to all of them

I do not transport my P127 with pedal drive on it. I take it off completely and I put it back when putting in the water. Put too much stress on the plastic locks and on the plastic tray that hold the bottom of the pedal. Ask me how I learn it..?

How difficult is this kayak to paddle when you pull the drive up? I have heard people uses the word, 'barges" when describing paddling them.

Do you have any issues with a narrow stance because of the seat railing system taking away almost 2 inches or more. Or do you step forward in your Kayak?

you can't really put a trolling motor at the bow of the P127. Weight distribution not good, flex too much and take too much water. Unfortunately, the differences on design between SS127 and P127 don't allows it for.

You could drill a small hole in the center tab near the tip, put in place and then run a very short small screw, round top, into the tab, then it wont pull out. If you have a drill, its a one dollar fix for a couple small screws. But i will say, that whole locking system looks Mickey Mouse. They should of used a lock over hinge latch. Then, there is nothing to lose even unlocked. Or maybe a system like the old jeep hood latches. Anyway, nice job on the review. Buying a nice 5 acres with a big pond. Less than 20 miles from Siminole, frontage on the 90. Going to have to have you boys come and do a camp and fish, and you can also hit Seminole and do another day or two of footage. Maybe you and the boys can come and do a private tourney,, hahaahh Maybe will invite Deermeat and Blue Gabe too, Have a north vs south Bass off between some You-tubers, HAHAHHAHAHA Clickbaiters vs Southern swampers. Each team has at least one girl too, Rons wife and Of Course Blue Gabes Girl, Kelly young. You guys are 4, 5 with Dee, 6 with Rons wife. Can definitely do a cook off too. Couple good cooks on both teams. You could have some audience/subscriber participation too with some give aways tied to the team who wins a category or over all team win. Could be super cool and an annual event. Biggest fish, most fish, species cover, total Bass wieght. Who ever wins a certain category, gets to draw a winner from there fan base, ty entries to merch sales. People cad actually enter on both sides or teams. Could make it smaller but more tea,s too, North, South, Alabama boys and hve you and Beach bum forming a team, Brant and Ron, and The Southern boys. Man Brad you all could do a lot of content off that, all of you. Be a big deal. Maybe a Key West team too with a couple of Blue Gabes Buddies. Anyway, hit me up on FB, if i can help you come up with an organization plan!
