@House_Of_Champs That is true. this set sold better as singles than the box and case just because of the collector cards. Walmart and Target have this box at 102 and TCG 110. I wonder if the palets they have in stock are ready to be sold 50% off on black friday heading into the holiday. Something tells me there will be another massive wave of reprints coming in with this set. It aint over its holiday season, and Konami is Oprah. Everyone gets a toy.

This is exactly what sets should be. Offer lower rarity/value versions of cards to make them accessible to anyone, and offer higher-end value for those who like to open packs, gives incentive for doing so, and offers a top end for those who want to absolutely bling out their decks!

We have a pretty big Edison community in my area and I cannot tell you how many people have been getting so angry about this set doing well because “QCR bad, old printing good”. I knew from day one that the singles would do well especially with the bad pull rates for QCRs in a 200 card nostalgia pool (shocker I know) but these buyouts have been absolutely insane to watch in real time.

I think all raritys are good for edison. Newer rarity- New/returningplayer, Oldest rarity/version- nostalgia Highrarity - rich people All rarities are good in there own right for edison.

Im of the opinion that Konami should try to keep this set in stock for as long as possible as its just a really nice love letter to 25 years of Yugioh like please please please Konami this is something you stock in retailers and keep in supply

Bonanza was absolutely awesome. The ONLY thing I didn’t like was the amount of Plats vs QCRs. They missed some cards, sure, but all that does is confirm Rarity Bonanza 2 Electric Bugaloo

I noticed this spike after the first 2 top hitters went (BLS,BEWD) I saw the prices, listings, Total Sellers, Charts and Recent Sales for some others and then snagged what I could (Since I figured it’s hard to pull rn, and There’s not much listings so I am gonna snag what heavies I can before I don’t see em again) Dark hole and millennium Shield Are gone and have doubled or tripled…they aren’t even they star of the show anymore…and those markets got cleaned too Not just Bonanza Market ALL QCR Hard to pull/Popular Heavies are being cleaned out (it’s weird but it’s happening)

It's wonderful to see high prices for aesthetics. Much prefer this than for money to come from staples (which, sure that's an issue) . But if it didn't pan out, then konami has no incentive to make their money from aesthetics. And they will go with what's reliable, staples

I've been watching this whole set buyout real time, and there's something real sus happening here. It's like one or two deep pockets are going in on everything possible very slowly. This really doesn't feel organic...

@ddrguy3008 i feel very differently. I think it's cascading fomo spanning to different cards and people grabbing pieces of what they can. I sincerely don't think it's just a few going here especially with feedback of where I see who is buying what form the set

​@@House_Of_Champs It's perhaps a combination of the cascading fomo and the targeted buyouts. I got in on a couple that I wanted, but specifically avoided ones where it was super obvious that they were going to be next. My line of thinking was just in trying to avoid the issue of "if everything is special, nothing is special" and that is kind of where we are on the buyouts right now: If you got in on a few even slightly late, good job, but we are into speculative pricing and flipping stratosphere levels of buyouts now. This is what I mean by feeling like there's something off: You might get a couple of fomo buys on the high end after buyouts out of repopulation fears, but they're starting to feel way more like someone is making a calculated call that, while they could have bought x at $20, they can buy 3 of them now at $50 leaving only 2 left at $100. On paper it feels like relatively low risk, medium reward calculations and it just feels scummy. Not saying don't make money, but I am saying at some point you just gotta say "I'm out and really don't care about this piece of cardboard that much." You know, the whole "vote with your wallet" mantra that definitely works. lol

Prices are high because literally no store listed their stock and are holding it instead of selling cards to players. For example, GC has thousands of singles in the back they are holding and refusing to put out for locals players. Biggest example of OTS greed I have seen in years.

Let's say you get an average of 36 nostalgia QCR's per case. That's 5.55 cases on average to see 1 of each without counting for variance. Stores that usually list 100s like Core TCG are only able to list like 4 at a time and were STILL on the front page cheapest to sell out. Gamers Choice presales went record well (at least via my code which I'm thankful for people using). I sincerely doubt they have deep stocks of many of these singles and they have to hold back their few extras to make sure nothing is wrong with current outgoing orders before listing. But yeah, blame the vendors who usually make singles the cheapest of being greedy!

I got some platinum secret rares of some of the stuff that's never had a Holo upgrade B4 and I gotta say they look like they are fake and on the monster cards I hate how it makes the card darker. It reminds me of how we used to use them holographic sleeves to make all the common cards look holo too. I wish would have done this whole set like the last collector sets where everything would be any rarity I would have gotten just them all in secret rares cuz the secrets looked good in this set and then other two

I'm sad I didn't get a copy of Jinzo before the spike. I was able to find one on eBay for $59 after shipping just to have the seller cancel for "not in stock" smh. I hope the price drops later but happy I got Red eyes before it spiked.

I think the staples Nostalgic cards like Dark Magician Girls and Blue Eyes can easily go towards $500. Dragon Master Magia hit like $1200-$1300 dollars and it is nowhere near the recognition/nostalgia of these old school hitters in my opinion. Once the $120 listings go bye bye going towards holidays and black friday then $250 + then $500+... I believe the people that bought these QCR are not trying to make a measely $20 - $30 flip and holding for collections. I know I would not sell my dark magician girl just to make $20 bucks... Even $100 profit to be honest. I really like her.

Honestly these prices are way to high for a new set thats still actively being opened. Since the set is so big, pulls are spread out and spread thin, easy to make some cards disappear from the market. No thanks, people can rush and try to grab that $200-$300 Blue-Eyes, i'll take my money elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, i'm still going to be buying more of this set, but it will cool off eventually, just not anytime soon. With black friday coming up? Yeah, probably you're going to see quadruple buyouts. Don't feed into the fomo, prices will eventually stabilize. And yes I realize theres going to be a new floor, but come on, these prices are silly.

Eh I think starlight rares are totally fine and cool. But yeah ghost rares are just the best rarity ever by a longshot
