Where in the hell is Ben? They didn't think to send Ben a telegram about this situation???????? This wasn't a sham trial carried on in the middle of the night at the end of a shotgun. This was well organized and proper trial that had to have had delays to send for the juge, pre trial hearings etc. Ok, this was really bugging me every time they said it so now I'm going to address it. WHY WOULD THEY NEED TO PROVE EVERYONE'S FINGERPRINT IS DIFFERENT? Logic Check, all's they would have to show is the fingerprint did not belong to Joe. In fact, if everyone in the world's finger print was the same EXCEPT for Joe, the case would be even stronger. I'm very disappointed that all the people that did that to Hop Sing didn't face consequences. All my b*****ing aside I think this is quite an enjoyable episode.

Fingerprints, law enforcement agencies communicating across cities throughout the country at the speed of light via telegraphs, I can just imagine those poor 1860 outlaws pining for the good old days before they had all this advanced technology.

@@jahememcintosh9069 The in show cannon never gives a reason. I've heard there was some mention of it one time in an episode after his departure using the phrase "off to see the world'. From an out of character viewpoint Pernel Roberts had a big ego and the show wasn't enough for him, even though it's one of the most successful series in television history.

Well, well, well what do we have here? I Googled “who was the first to use fingerprints to ID people” and here’s what Mr. Google had to say,,,, Sir Francis Galton The pioneer in fingerprint identification was Sir Francis Galton, an anthropologist by training, who was the first to show scientifically how fingerprints could be used to identify individuals. Beginning in the 1880s, Galton (a cousin of Charles Darwin) studied fingerprints to seek out hereditary traits. Take that Hopsing! 😂
@oakleysierney19183 жыл бұрын
That's some pretty good armchair detective work there. However Mr Google is probably citing Western and European accounts of history which are hardly impartial.
@GeorgeBonez3 жыл бұрын
@@oakleysierney1918 I know. I never blindly believe in Mr. Google. It was a poor attempt at humor I guess. The Bonanza writers are probably way more accurate.

@@SmutchyBritchesHop Sing said the Chinese have been using Chops for a thousand years and Mr. Google said it came about in the 1880’s. Now it’s true that I suck at math but I’m pretty sure the 1880’s wasn’t a thousand years ago.
