1:03 Joe says his horse spooked while he was checking a fence, and the horse was probably 1/2 way back to the Ponderosa. He was checking the fence on the Ponderosa boundary, so the horse was already on the Ponderosa. So, the horse was simply going back to the ranch house and barn area.

Theres been a few episodes where editing was missed, the ep with Cameron Mitchell as a one armed man and his jacket swings open at the back and you see the 'missing' arm, when a cowboy gets knifed in the back and there is a huge block showing under his shirt, Ben is taking his coat upstairs and in the next view its missing and of course this one
