So do I, but understand why Pernell Roberts left bonanza saying "3 GROWN MEN LIVING AT HOME 🏡 HAVING TO GET PA's PERMISSION FOR EVERYTHING THEY DO" he felt it's unrealistic & wasn't pleased with writing & story lines, plus they never have a woman consistently he felt wasn't right either, look it up on why Pernell Roberts quit bonanza 📺 🤔?

What season did he quit?
@wally14522 жыл бұрын
@@maclove1106 Thanks for comment on Pernell Roberts. I read also that other things got to him, the episodes not having much or no substance, the asinine so-called comedy...& yes, the 3 grown men being treated like teens and told when to go to bed at night...I liked very much every show that had Adam when he was the lead man in the show. Little oe was worst and after Adam quit the series at end of year six I seldom ever watched any (except the first 6 seasons where Pernell acted in some excellent stories.) There is very much to comment but it is so clear to me that Adam was/is the best and brightest that held the series up very well...all that followed after Adam's departure was the same old stories with a little different twist to them.

@@mynameisdave613 Pernell Roberts quit after the last episode of season 6. Seasons 7-14 were same old shows with Ben, Little oe and Hoss...almost every show the same with a little different twist to it. Four grown men living with Pa, told what to do...Adam was only reason I watched 1st 6 seasons. Adam was a serious dramatic actor and was suffering when he had to play these simple scripts. I never could understand the attraction of the Little oe in the awful things he acted in. A sad commentary of what people liked to see back then...and it is worse now!

Poor little Joe made to look like the crazy bad guy! I’m glad when he’s proved right! The Cartwrights just met this guy and all of a sudden they’re taking HIS side over LJ’s! And Adam to keep saying over and over again it’s because of the horse is pretty tiring! Maybe they should listen to Little Joe over some guy they met 2 minutes ago!🙄 The Cartwrights are like little Mark McCain…they know someone for a minute and think they’re best friends! Way too naive and way too trusting. It’s one thing for a little boy but for grown men! Come on! They don’t know this guy at all but because he supposedly knows a mutual friend they treat him as long lost friends!🙄

Thanks for uploading all these western shows. I love this genre and will be really digging into them. The ending in this episode didn't make any sense. Why would he smash Adam only to help Little Joe? If he really wanted to help Joe he would have told them the danger he was in. By letting him be tortured all night for information he had no way to know if Little Joe would have even been alive by morning. No sense at all.

Is this the debut of Sheriff Roy Coffee??
@wally14522 жыл бұрын
That sheriff Coffey is so simple minded, wanting to put a man in a cell because he was in prison once and had no alibi for the night a crime was committed. Bonanza had some awful, awful actors, they paid the least they could and they got this Ray Teal, the Cartright boy that was really messed up who acted like a 12 year old. I wish I had a list of all the Adam episodes...where he was the lead person in the show. Incredible! Some lawmen go alone or with two guys and hunt the robbers. Coffey, who they never put back in his home to take care of...how is there THREE posses north, south, east (he's at Bens) to hunt a few scum balls? Do the men not work, no family, ? I know one told me this is all comedy except for the solo Adam episodes (which are dramatic excellence) but I usually cannot get through these.I read Bon. had half higher rated shows, after Adam left, more clowns came in for minimum wage (Vogel the squirrel whiney kid, Griff and little skinny "Ben" (or) joe...my god! All these except Pernell were not actors. Why did they not bring Festus Haggen over?
