I was a vegetarian as a kid yet loved the show because it was time spent with my grandmother Nonna and loved seeing Michael Landon as Little Joe. His laugh and smile melted my ❤️. Michael Landon met his future wife Lynn Noe when she appeared as an extra on this episode. (She's the blond saloon girl who sits down at a table on the left as Adam walks through the door.) They were married from 1963-1982 and had four children together before divorcing.

So many of these TV families I wanted to live with. The Cartwrights is one. I just can't believe how long ago this was. They're all gone. Everything's gone. If I were a multi-billionare I'd invest everything I had in a time machine. But THIS machine will take you straight to a day in the life of your favorite fantasy family ! Where would (will) you go ???
@shirleymiller42194 жыл бұрын
Prudence Sidecafe the Bonanza Cartwrights for sure! Actually someone did write a fanfic story of Michael Landon waking up in the actual Cartwright family on the actual Ponderosa in the 1860’s. In this story Michael was rebellious about it; but in my fantasy he enjoys and gets to actually live it instead of just playing little Joe. The Cartwrights get to be his real family and he gets to live out the adventures of Bonanza and be a real life cowboy from that era.
@jonhohensee32583 жыл бұрын
Yeah! I'd LOVE to go live with the Cartwrights and put my life on the line against all those crooks, a sparse justice system, and have far less advanced health care. That'd be awesome!

@textsmsmaster98844 жыл бұрын
@Cissy Brazil .. you have a great question .. I grew up in the 50's and 60's watching westerns .. Bonanza was the 1st full color western TV series .. because of the huge cost of production .. if you watch all the early seasons .. much of the non episode stock film sometimes is spliced in various shows .. so a days work may not always be just for the next show .. some of it was just stock to splice in later episodes .. using the same wardrobe was important for stock film .. later the wardrobe became a signature for all the Cartwrights .. like little Joes green jacket .. Adams black clothes, etc.. btw .. those original technicolor 3 lens color cameras were like 400 pounds each too ..
@mwilliams13304 жыл бұрын
@@textsmsmaster9884 This and other shows as well. I have heard interviews where the wardrobes were in short supply and becasue of the schedule were not as clean as you might think...could get pretty ripe by the end of the week, lol

Im only 31 and was raised on Bonanza, Gunsmoke, The Munsters, Addams family and allllll the rest of those oldies. The Cartwrights remind me of my Uncles. Paw being my Oldest uncle that passed awhile back (The Leader, all knowing and Wise) Adam being my 2nd oldest uncle (serious and charming but has his smile every once and awhile.) Haus being my 2nd youngest uncle. (Just a big goof, but will break ya in half if he needs to without realizing he did lol.) And Little Joe being my youngest Uncle (Just a big baby, everybody loves him everywhere he goes, and acts before he thinks.) Thank God (And Pizza Flix) for these old classics!

Better ending: Virginia snatches the gun out of her dead father's hand, and guns down Adam. This triggers a blood-bath on all sides in which everyone is killed in a hail of lead. Ben Cartwright gasps out the last line to camera: 'I guess that's the end of the Ponderosa ...' End of series. Credits roll over images of tumbleweed doing its stuff.
