Does anyone notice in many rides how well Shawn keeps his composure in his voice whilst on rides. If you closed your eyes, you couldn't tell if he was on a ride or taking a stroll lol love it. Thanks for such great vlogs! They do make me smile.

Great vlog! I'd also just like to mention that you can defintiely see some changes over the parks history throughout it. After all from its opening until 2007 it was run by the Spangsberg family, who at the time owned both the BonBon brand and the theme park. The brand was GINORMOUS in the 90's and early 2000's with candies like Ear wax, Ape snot, Big Boobs, Blue owls, Pissing Ants, Wet diapers, and so on, and of course the famous Dog farts! All with a cartoony grossout humour style. Sadly the brand went into a decline and in 2006/7 the BonBon empire was sold off. The Candy went to the candy corporation Toms (who on several occasions tried ending the brand to much public dismay), and the park got sold to Parques Reunidos. And you can definitely see a difference between attractions opened before the ownership change and afterwards. As for the candy only 5 variants remain. Seagull poop, Rotten Fish, Sewage sludge, Duck food, and Junkyard mix. Not even the Dog farts have survived. Like before it, the park got rides like Vildsvinet (eurofighter), Søløven (Boat ride), Beaver Rafting (rapids), Kragetårnene (tilted drop towers), and Hankatten (spinner) which was the last attraction added by the old owners. Afterwards we got attractions like Viktor Vandorm (Zierer Tivoli), Svend Svingarm (Zamperla Discovery swinger), and Pelle Piratsprøjt (splashpad) and not much else. Theming was lacking and the park was in a decline. During the previous owners last stint they also tried making a second gate to the park called Fantasy World which was an indoor playland with animatronics. It was then integrated into the park but gradually closed off and is now completely gone. When I last saw it in 2017 it frankly looked like something out of a Five Nigths at Freddys game. But anyway around that time the park was sorely neglected. Lots of old theming was still around but in a very bad shape, elements like the rapids waterfalls were turned off, the former arcade at the exit to the Wild Boar was closed and in general the park had fallen from being the biggest in the Danish theme park industry to being a nobody. Thankfully it seems like the park is finally getting a bit of TLC, though it still needs a lot more. Some theming elements like a big spinning totem pole with park characters (including the Big boobs cow mascot) where the little octopus ride now sits is gone. Same goes for the big shrimp statue that used to sit on top of the dinghy slide. Its sad to see but hopefully the park gets the investment to stay relevant. I mean their last major addition was the Zamperla Discovery that was closed on your visit and that ride is 10 years old now.

Great to see the Zierer still in action, I rode it in Panorama park where it was before. The station is that high because in Panorama Park there was a gokarts station/track underneath it. It was built on top of a hill and indeed built into the terrain there. The park was sold unfortunately about 14-15 years ago... it also had a very good powered coaster, trapper slider and a very unique logflume kind of ride. The park now is open as a Wildlife park I think without the big rides...

I'm a big fan of your format! Love the way you explain moments of genuine surprise and share fun facts prior to enjoying and reviewing the rides 😄 Also very pleasantly surprised that this theme park withstood the test of time c: --- I know they've struggled lately, as the candy production lines this theme park is associated with used to be very popular to the Nordic mass-market, but has since turned quite obscure. Prior to this, the candy factory besides the facilities burned down in 2001, and the "Hankatten" ride suffered the same fate in 2007. Tiny me was heartbroken by the sight at the time 😂

The older rides are themed around the (offensively named) Bon Bon gummie candies, thats why everything is so cartoony. That was the branding style of the candies. You had Dog Farts, Cow Teets, Ant Acid and Seagul Shits from what I remember. We had them in The Netherlands in the 90s. So the bird mascot definately is a gul.

Hi shawn and Charlotte Wow what a quirky park so colourful. I think the mascot is a Albatross. It was a giant albatross in the middle of the disco ride . OMG that crazy spinning no wonder poor Charlotte passed out . Fantastic vlog again made me laugh as you both always do . I don't know whether you heard about the accident at Tivolli gardens where a 14 year unfortunately lost there life on a coaster there 😢very sad . @@ThemeParkWorldwide Ah. I see I didn't go back far enough. Well, it looks like you lucked out and got an unusually cool day for July; not only was it overcast, but there were people wearing jackets! This isn't something that happens often during a North Carolina summer. I actually went to Carowinds in the first or second year of operation. That was before any theme park corporation owned it, so it was a much quirkier place, with a playground for kids, a double-decker carousel, and an actual functioning paddle boat you could ride. I suppose Cedar Park has done a good job making it profitable, but it's become kind of generic. Not hatin', just sayin'. I'm glad they kept the Carolina Goldrusher, the Sky Tower, and the Kaleidoscope (Scramber). 😊

I was alsmot sure you guys had been to BonBon-land before. Sad you didn't try Svend Svingarm, actually never seen it closed... Bon bonland is our family go to park. In my opinion Svend svingarm is the most intense flat ride in Denmark, it's 117 km/h where the Tiger in Djuurs is "only" 100 km/h. Good looking fries tho
