I have an original Del Mar from several years ago, and it's hands-down one of my favorite OD pedals, certainly for low to mid-gain sounds. Makes an amazing clean boost, as well.

Really great sounds. Have had my eye on this since they announced v2...really been loving drive pedals with clean blend lately to keep everything nice and clear. Did you play v1 at all? I wonder if the changes made for v2 are significant enough to exclude v1s from my search.

I have a v1 as well, need to compare them, but the improvements are predominately lowering the noise floor and tightening up certain specific knob settings that gave some users issues. I’d say any Del Mar you can find or afford , grab it and you’ll be happy :)

Dude are you stacking overdrives? Like I see a blue one on, is that the Browne amplification blue side of the protein? The carbon or is it the Del Mar by itself?

not for this one. All my drives run through the MS3 as a remote loop switcher, so they're all "on" but only engaged when I select them on the MS3. This demo was just Del Mar.

Would this work well boosting a Plexi for Higher gain tones? Or would it be too bright?

I think it’d work for that, the eq is quite flexible on these. The Starcaster I’m using is pretty bright innately so some of that brightness is coming from the guitar.
