Well, it's not every day you find the crown jewels! What an unbelievable surprise this turned out to be...and after speaking with the owner they requested not to mention their name so that's why I have bleeped out those parts. I can say the police are investigating and have contacted me directly. The items from the safe have been sent back and the tracking shows it has been received but I have not yet heard back from the owner since I sent the package a few weeks ago. The maiden name of the swedish queen is Sommerlath. She was just a normal citizen, it seems one of her family members who owned the german passport is married to a belgian woman. He said the safe was stolen in Belgium, looks like the thieves just disposed of the safe in the Netherlands. Both countries are pretty small so it makes complete sense. @@Max.the.person

Once i found a wallet on the street with $150 and all cards I saw the owners address on his driver's licence and returned his wallet as he lived not far from me. Turns out he forgot the wallet and his phone on-top his car and drove off. He was fully angry with me because he was convinced I stole the phone 📱 I've never been that disappointed 😢

The policeman on the desk was quite amazed when I walked in and handed it over. He was slightly shocked because I don't think that he would have expected that someone would hand something like that in. I never heard anything more about it. This was back in the eighties. When that sort of amount was still an eye opener.

Even broken ceramic objects can be very valuable, gold isn't magnetic either. Imagine what massive finds your crew might uncover then!

So happy for you, that was fun to live through. I've 2 ideas about nets for you. A noodle strainer to pour the safe items into and a large one for safes. When you get a safe above the water, drop a net beside and below it, then use it to pull the safe. No slipping off of magnets. You could also sell Bondi Treasure Nets!

What a great story (despite the stolen stuff). That reminds me when my italian friend came home in Northern France back in 2007 for a visit. She had found a USB at the airport in Napoli and we watched the pics to track down the owner and he happened to be an african diplomat! (There was a picture of a screen in a hotel with their names on!) We called, got an adress and sent the USB back! Loved doing this ❤

It’s probably an inside job because I’m sure where they’re staying at. It’s not a cheap place to stay and people that have access would be staff most more or less, I know the operations of the hotel they were staying at that’s what I’d have him look into.
