I’ve read that there’s a canal that links Netherlands to Belgium that could be interesting. Our ancestory goes back for centuries in that area. Curious to know your guy’s take on the area. Full that bucket with vinegar to remove rust. Rinse after with water and baking soda to neutralize the vinegar.

At time 15:39 it is the end of a pike pole for moving logs on water. Called a boom log to go to the mill. I sell them for loggers.

How about getting a short length of wood 2 x 4 (5mm x 10mm) leave one end flat and put a vee, or notch in the 10 mm side. When you are stuck. Run the rope through the notch and place the flat end against the wall the wood. This will redirect the pulling effort out and away. Just a thought.
