Hi guys you have had the best start to your Australian journey I hope it keeps up for you. Thanks for starting your journey on the Great Ocean Road I have not been there always wanted to and it is fantastic. I don’t think you are going to find so much wildlife everywhere you go so take it all in. You are much braver than I am I can only remember going for two night ( or dark) walks one was when switched the lights off in a cave so we could see the fire flies the other was on the Island so we could see the nocturnal birds and animals. Remember that the valuables were not inside a safe, I think if you find a safe that hasn't already been broken into, you may find something valuable that is still inside, and probably no mud, its obvious that all those safes have previously been broken open.

🤔I have a theory about where more safes would be located. An easy way to get a safe open is to drop it off a building and bust it. Do you find more safes in areas with abandoned buildings very close? Where they can carry it up and drop it off a building, then easily dump it in the water? I'm curious.

Usually the safes are cut open on the sides, the most safes we find in areas where there’s not a lot of people around

We've pulled a couple of similar sized safes (empty). We only had 2 magnets so used a rope as a sling round the bottom so we didn't have to rely on the power of the magnets.
