@spagsketti2 жыл бұрын
Electrolysis is boring you just hook up 1.5-10 amp DC non regulated power supply and put the negative on the item that is being cleaned and positive on some metal plates lining a tub filled with water and a cup of Arm and Hammer Super soda (not baking soda sodium bicarbonate, but Sodium carbonate) per 5 gallons of water and turn it on. Now wait and wait until you are satisfied with the result. Make sure your item does not touch the positive plates. You can use other things to add to the water like salt but they create deadly fumes where Sodium Carbonate produces Hydrogen gas. In a well ventilated outdoor space it will just float into the air. thats it. I used a old computer power supply for a 100 year old Krone Kast cast iron pan I got for free was made in Germany around 1906-1923. Very very rare. The guy at the year sale was going to scrap it and pulled it out of the scrap pile and gave it to me. Also go light on the Sodium Carbonate more makes it not work as good there is a happy medium in there somewhere.

And two, not all of us are on Instagram, so would love to see some pics of your items after electrolysis, like your keys and your sword. Great finds seriously tho soak them in Evapo-rust first for 24hrs and you will be amazed at how they come out almost rust free. and it’s safe to use especially on the dagger the sheath will just slip off the blade. Evapo-rust will change your life with your finds without damaging them 👍🏼🇬🇬

@@DjPsYcOtIc I don't know, man; granted, a watch in this price range should be water tight. But then again, that collection has been around since 1972. I dunno about this particular model, but theoretically we're speaking about half a century in the river. Even if it was "only" 20 years, rubber seals can degrade and leak over time. Hi Dudes! I think I know part of the story about those colorful stones you found! I recall a film from some years ago and there was this strange woman who collected rocks like those from her travels. Each one held a special story for her. And then sometime later in her life, she said she was going to drop them into the water someplace as a gift back to the Earth for her adventures. Maybe those are her stones? Dunno. Great videos you guys make. Very enjoyable.
