They used prosthetics for a lamb on this show - but I think that one had 2 healthy feet and 2 misshapen/missing hooves. Even back then they said it was normally done for dogs/cats, and tbh it's probably very expencive. so it can be that the owner or the lamb had the cash, but that owners of the piglet can't spend that much on 3 prosthetics and are looking to do some DIY for the future. Hopefully they are able to keep stubby moving and happy well into adulthood

@@Tanjaaraus I think that most likely they are waiting until she stops growing to go for prosthetics since getting a new set every time she outgrows them would be very expensive. So while she's small and still growing like a weed it might not be worth spending all that cash on something that she will outgrow in a few months.

+Amberlinn Rose Lee ... and his sister, named Soda! Many years ago I had a Lilac Siamese cat that I named Lil' Skittle (Skittles for short) because of the way she came to be with me. I came home from work to find a teeny kitten cowering in my Juniper bushes so that's what I called her at first (Juniper, Juni for short) until I canvassed the neighborhood to hopefully find her rightful owners and found out her sad story. It seems a pickup truck went barreling down our street (suburban) at break neck speed earlier in the day while a guy in the back literally *threw* a cardboard box out and a whole bunch of the wee kitties flew out of the box and "skittled" everywhere. No one was sure if Mom was in that box too. I searched the neighborhood for weeks afterwards for my now renamed Lil' Skittles' siblings and Mom. Left my contact info w/everyone and asked them to pass it along. Never did find Skittles' bio family but I gave her the best, loving home w/her new 4 legged, 2 legged (human & animal), fins & feathers that I could.

@brandyb29314 жыл бұрын
Mu mother had a cockatiel, they live a really long time, he definitely made it past the expected life span. Anyways, I gave my mom a kitten and that cat and bird became bff's. The cat would lay on top of the birds cage and the bird would crawl on his sticks right up underneath her and they would look out the window all day, the bird would start squaking when he wanted the cat to come out there, and she would go out there and jump up on his cage. She never would reach into the cage to bother him. I think they both enjoyed each other's company. The bird passed away one day, he was almost 27 years old, my mom woke up one morning and he was in the bottom of his cage. The cat mourned him for a littlewhile, she would lay on top of his cage looking into it, she finally stopped getting on top of it, like she knew he wasn't coming back. We took the cage out after that. That cat and a bird were bff's for 5 years. My heart is breaking for skittles. I felt so awful poor skittles had that happen, so young, I'm happy he's doing well and running again.
@6125Tiffany4 жыл бұрын
The great Dane reminds me of what our dog went through. She was playing and spontaneously ruptured a disk in her spine. Her back half was completely paralyzed. When we heard her yelp we ran to her and she was coming down the hall to us. Her front half was fine but then we noticed she was dragging her back half. That was terrifying to see. We rushed her to the vet and got her help. Thankfully she has pretty much a full recovery. Her back half doesn't always work in coordination with her front. And she loses strength easily in her back half. But she's happy, active and very loved.

I love how Chris comes up with all sorts of unconventional ideas to help the animals he cares for. And yes, as he said her future is going to be bright - bright pink judging from the look of her legs LOL!!!! I love Lisa and Andrew both as well, I hope they will continue somehow to pop up on future shows. I know we're behind on episodes here in the USA, but I hope all of them get posted here on KZbin. I'm an OR nurse but furloughed due to COVID-19, so I have a lot of time to watch until I get called back to duty. I can't even imagine how expensive that treatment was... it makes me flinch when they call in the specialist or go for hugely expensive scans, etc. They give amazing care, but the pets must have wealthy humans to begin to afford the simplest stuff they do.
