Hearing you talk about snow makes me glad I'm where I am. I spent my first 15 years east of Cleveland, Ohio and shoveled more lake effect snow than I care to remember. More than 50 yrs. below the Mason-Dixon line has spoiled me, lol. Grats on 10K subs. I'm sure the lack of stable gravy has something to do with it. If you've ever mucked out a stall you know what stable gravy is. It's so much more than mere manure. :D

Congratulation. Great job and thanks for helping us to learn. Just found your videos recently and wondering if you measure the distance between the vertical rebars in the footing so they don’t interfere with the cross bracing in the blocks. Tks Joe
@bondobuilt3863 жыл бұрын
Thank you. 😊 We just pop them in every 2 feet on most jobs. No you can just bend bar a little on way or another. and get the first course on there. Just make sure you are in the middle ob block so they fit in there.

Love your videos. I am building a massive 3 level 6200sq ft ICF house and already poured the slab.....minus the pex. Missed opportunity. What would be the best way to heat the basement with radiant since the slab is already down?
@bondobuilt3862 жыл бұрын
You could do insulation over the concrete with 2x4 nailers run the pex and 3/4" subfloor over it all 👍 Expensive I'm sure though.

@davebeck31353 жыл бұрын
Another great video Bondo. I have a question, how well does the concrete bond with the foam? Thanks
@bondobuilt3863 жыл бұрын
Dave I don't think it needs to bond to the foam. I don't think it bonds to it much at all. The concrete is strong on own its own just as if we poured it on plastic vapor barrier.
@WoodNMetalWorkshop3 жыл бұрын
Ron, what concrete mix would you suggest for a future shop addition. Wanting to use it as a apron 20x20 for a few years before doing the wall and roof. 6 inch's thick, thickened edge with pex for heat like the rest of the shop. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
@bondobuilt3863 жыл бұрын
I would do 4000 lbs concrete with wire mesh and fibers. you will want light air in it if it will be outside for a couple years.
