30inch wide footing with a stick of rebar is something I can dig ( I like) in my region where the water table can be higher then normally where it is anywhere else. Super wide footers to displace the weight to a much wider space then a normal situation. @@Musclecar1972 One is that you can make a masonry fence by driving them into the ground in a row 16” or 24” apart. Tie on wire mesh. Trowel on colorized mortar. No rot. Lasts forever. Later, I will describe some other uses.
@Musclecar19724 ай бұрын
@@kevinhornbuckle I know they have to be a lot easier to move around. When I was in business I used to carry 15, 20’ 1/2” rods at a time, to speed my jobs along, and I can tell you, they were heavy! LOL That’s also why I had a reverse replacement on one shoulder, and need the other one done as well. All you needed to be in the masonry business back then was a strong body, and a weak mind! LOL 😂 Thanks for getting back, I never thought about using rod of any kind in that application. 👍

Doing good work. One question one comment.. Ever try the Corning bar? The fiberglass stuff? Seems like its going that way with some of the other guys here on YT. As far as the J-hook thing... Throwing a 3" 90 at the end of the vertical bars shouldn't hurt, right? (Not in the trade, sorry if im dumb.)
@bondobuilt3864 ай бұрын
I have never tried the fiberglass bars yet. a 3" 90 would not hurt but it would be more labor to bend them all and unnecessary in this aplication.
