Bone Caves - A trip to The Bone Caves and Breabag on the North Coast 500
A trip to the bone caves whilst en route to a snowy Breabag. An excellent hike with the spring producing a river out of the ground being a highlight along with the caves. Not often the hills get third place on a walk with me but this time the caves and geology took top spot ;)

Another great video Murray. There are a few other caves nearby. The Bone Caves sit directly above the Great Northern Time Machine which can be entered through Rana Hole (vertical gear required) or Uamh An Claonaite (diving gear required for the last bit). Allt Nan Uamh Stream Cave is on the opposite side of the valley from the Bone Caves. The Traligill valley (which you'd take to Ben More Assynt) has some caves as well, Cnockers being the biggest and most impressive (the waterslide entrance is a blast). The Grampian Speleological Group are the best folks to talk to if you want to visit them. Oh, and that dry river isn't always dry. Crossing it in flood is "exciting" :-)

I was just going to post that as well, being an ex member of the Grampian and spent many hours digging at the end of Allt Nan Uamh Stream cave.

Murray thanks.. 🤗 what a great video once again. "Weather geological" 😆 watch you don't become eroded with time too. Local interest plus highlighting the need to respond to weather conditions and be prepared/equipped for changes. Top stuff.

Really appreciate the hard graft you put into your videos Murray. To climb Scotland's Mountains, whilst also being a one man film/drone crew is so impressive & to be able to do so in conditions like you met in this video is awesome. Thank you.

Nice vid! Here's a link to the other caves in the region: www.sat.dundee.ac.uk/arb/scotland/assynt.html The nearby Allt Nan Uamh cave is currently the longest in Scotland if you're equipped to reach it.
