Bone of My Bone and Flesh of My Flesh: A Perspective on Genesis 2

Havilah Dharamraj and Mark Lanier discuss a deeper understanding of Genesis 2:18-24. There is particular emphasis on the Hebrew idiom "bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh" (in English it is translation 'flesh and bone') which is found in multiple places in the Old Testament. And in many of these places it occurs in conversation between two male relatives.
This helps us understand that the deeper meaning is to do with kinship relationships and even more important, kinship obligations. They dive into its application and how Biblical culture (and the current culture in many places in the world today) gives better illumination to this passage.

This is a black and white verse, the woman is the man projected in the feminine. When couples get married the wife will be a self projection of the husband.
