This music video used to scare the crap out of me as a child, and I am a singer/musician and I heavily associate songs with memory, bad ones in particular. My mom just passed away before Christmas, and she loved this song and would play it frequently when I was young. On the ride out to her house to start cleaning it out, this exact song came on the radio in the car. It was about a 20 minute drive we had to make, and I live in NYC and don’t have a license and my eldest sister lives in ATL. The odds of me hearing that song for the first time in over a decade, while all of her children were together in a car on the way to our home, are so low. I knew in that moment that she is still here with us, and she is at peace and happy.

I've only watched this video in its entirety, maybe 3 times. As a black man, I cry way too much when I even hear the hook due to my dad dying, so I simply cut the song off. Recently, my little brother died of a heart attack. However, now I feel some comfort in this song. I still cried, but at least I got thru it, this time. As a strong black man, I'm okay with crying on this song. RIP dad and lil bro. Love n miss u dearly

My heart goes out to you, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad too, he was assassinated in cold blood for what he knew about our Tribe (we are tribal Incas, a lost Tribe of Israel), he gripped his wood grain wheel! This was my favorite song in the 4th grade, I have an uncle George who I lost soon after my dad, and I thought God wrote this song for me because none of the other kids knew what it was like. In shamanic ceremony re-claiming my tribal roots, i met Papa Eleggua who comforted me about my father, and taught me how to call Judgement at the crossroads. I met Baron Samedi, who is my protector from the assassins, since they HATE us tribal folk and I was left alone. These spiritual giants have protected me since they've been gone, and strengthen my walk with Jesus Christ/Yeshua HaMashiach, in Our Father in Heaven Yahuah. I was taught Judgement is a secret name of Jesus, since THEIR Judgement means OUR Salvation, His Name is Yahushua of The Way. This song is so DEEP it's a Hallelujah ~

My oldest son was born while this song was playing. 25 years ago today South Miami Hospital. A bunch of young nurses jamming out to this song while my wife was giving birth. Felt like I was in the twilight zone.

No doubt. I'm 39, this was jamming through the house every morning on MTV lol. My dad would walk in and start singing it. He loves this song still, and every now and then post it on my Facebook.
