This was probably the first rap song I ever heard that I couldn’t ever forget. I lost my grandma when I was young and it always hit me hard. The sad thing is that as you get older more and more people pass and you can’t do anything about it but just enjoy your days here on this beautiful earth.

@@ChrisJProductionz Nah they got huge in the mid 90s Grammy nominations and wins..They are my fave rappers ,do I wish they were more famous? ofcourse, and sometimes I think if they began rapping in 2000(if they were a decade younger), they would be because rap had greater exposure and became more mainstream in the 21st century, but they define a mosaic of the golden age of rap so I'm content, besides they've had a long career though to me their best stuff was Creepin on Ah come up,E1999 Eternal and Art of War ,after that it wasn't the same

I’ve always loved this song since I first heard it as a teenager. I’d seen a couple of people pass by that time, & almost passed myself shortly after this was released. But as an adult, seeing so, so many people I love taken away, this song is even more comforting to me than it was when I first heard it. To all the wonderful people we’ve loved and lost, may we all meet together again one sweet day at the crossroads. May all of us be blessed this year and in the future. ❤️🕊🙏🏻

When people mention Rap G.O.A.T.s , to me they in my top 10 rap goats, I miss their style of Hiphop so much. So melodic and lyrics so intentional. Thank you for the music and I wish we could bottle the conscious Hiphop from 80s, 90s to the 00s, and treasure it. Took this time period for so much for granted.

This song hits unbelievably different as an adult. When it released it was just a great song, but as an adult, this song is a whole vibe. The lyrics, the beat, but the melodies sound like they genuinely came from the mouth of someone who believed the hurt they sing about. Woke up with this song in my head today for a reason. 🔥 🔥

I remember listening to this over and over summer after my 8th grade year, preparing to move across the state and having just lost my best friend. Going back and listening now definitely brings back memories and emotions. It also makes me sad about what has happened to rap and hip hop music.
