My father used to listen and hymn this one english song everyday. He did listen to queen and the likes of other genres, but this was place of pleasure. In his final days, this song was all he used to listen. It has been three years with him gone, and the song hits every time Phil starts singing 'Take me Home'. RIP Dad, hope you are happy in your heavenly home. :-)

I listened to Phil so much in the 80’s. My first CD ever was No Jacket Required (Second was Genesis self titled). I’m almost 100% positive he is lip syncing to the 80’s Album track - it sounds perfect - every tone from Take Me Home is burnt into my brain.

Collins explained in Rolling Stone: "Bone Thugs-N-Harmony called me up and said, 'We've done a version of your song 'Take Me Home' and we'd like you to be in the video.' I said, 'No, I'm not in America.' They said, 'They can come wherever you are.' I said, 'Don't make me say, 'No, f--k off.'' But then I heard the song, and I quite liked it, and they agreed to come to Geneva. How could I disappoint these guys? They were nice lads."

I think what makes this video so much more powerful is the collaboration and the central message, that all people struggle in life regardless if they're a person of non-colour or a socioeconomically marginalized rap group. Everybody struggles in life and whoever feels otherwise has the GREATEST struggle because they're unable to see the very thread of life which connects us all.

I was listening to a KZbin video about Phil Collins and this collab was mentioned and recommended. I was listening to all the words and thinking "I appreciate the real talk about life being hard in the ghetto but I don't understand the connection between that and 'take me home'" then the song explained it. I love this collab. I LOVE when artists truly appreciate other artists. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Krayzie’s verse on this was 👌🏽. These guys literally collaborated with everyone making them the most diverse rap group. They could take someone like Phil collins, blend him into their music.
