Sewing underwire channeling to the seams of the foam is an interesting idea. Haven't seen it done that way. I've seen people use ribbon or seam tape (saw the Cloth Habit tutorial), but this is new. Also haven't seen the ends of boning burned before. I only saw it cut/filed. Thanks for showing us your techniques.
@DARIAPatternmaking3 жыл бұрын
The underwire channeling is soft and pleasant to a body 💕 Also it is important to form the ends as round with fingers while it is hot (it doesn't hurt) and the boning like this consists of a few tiny bones, they turn out glued to each other in the ends. 👍

Thank you so much for this pattern. I am going to put my boning in the inside so I can have traditional seams except for the cup. You did an AMAZING video 😊 Update: My project came out great by putting the boning inside. Now, I am going to try it how you presented. My bra was flat because I used 2 mm foam lol. It’s all good. I found in the comments you shared that 4mm for the foam is what you used in the video and 5 mm offers better support (per your advice in another comment). Thanks.

@@PowerToolsnPearls I was waiting for comments like this. I understand what you are talking about, as I have experience in sewing wedding dresses. Use a FINE QUALITY rigilene as I mentioned in the beginning of the video. Nothing will collapse unless you are using it in a Real corset, which meant to tighten your waist. Just in case you are interested, this is how your title should be translated into Spanish. Now it says "Bustier deshuesado con vasos de espuma" but, in order for it to make any sense, it should say "Bustier con ballenas y copas de espuma". "Ballenas" is how boning is called in Spanish (not hueso), and "copa" refers to cup "la copa de un bustier" is the part where each breast is hold. I hope this helps you to put a proper Spanish translation in the title of this video, so it helps you with more views for this great tutorial.
