This is an excellent video! This method is so much better than the former method of inserting the zipper first and sewing the seam below the zipper afterwards.

@@sandramckenzie8394 Thank you for responding! I guess these are printing issues. I believe there are some specific printing settings that don't allow you to print it properly. There should be dashed lines along all the edges of paper, so you can assemble the pattern along them. I assume you have followed the printing instructions written in the instruction file, the printing scale set to 100% Please try making this: 1) Check/uncheck "Source a paper size from PDF file" setting. It can make a difference. 2) Set page size to "default", not A4 or Letter. 2) If there is a dashed line missing on the right or left, please try moving the paper on the side. Maybe the paper isn't installed properly. Please print only the first page to check if everything works. If these steps haven't helped, then I have to reassemble the pattern for your format, but I have to know how the page looks when printed. If after trying all these steps the problem isn't solved, please send me a photo of how the page looks to my email [email protected]. Hope it helps!

I finished the dress today. It was quite challenging for me😅 The only sad thing is, that it doesn't look good on me. I got small boobs (A Cup), but this dress makes me look as if I have nothing at the top...I don't recommend this dress for people with small boobs 😅🙈

I've been debating on buying your bustier pattern. Have you made any changes to your pattern since you posted your tutorial on how to make it? I ask bcs i bought one and it seems changes were made to the original pattern that was used for the tutorial, and I'm having such a hard time with the cups. The vendor has been very helpful and active in trying to help me but something is getting lost in translation. I NEED to see where exactly is my mistake but I can't do that when seam allowances and pattern structures were modified and the video is not reflecting that 😢😢 I've made about 5 attempts to fix the issue but i keep getting the same results.
@DARIAPatternmaking
@DARIAPatternmaking Ай бұрын
Hello! You don't have to buy a new version, there is a link to a form to fill in and receive the latest version. You can find it at the listing description. This video and the one with a white bustier dress on a thumbnail fully corresponds to the latest version of the pattern.

So we're adding 1cm all around and the center portion of the bodice is converted into cutting two pieces instead of cutting as center fold? I need to ask because I bought a previous bustier pattern and changes were made to the pdf from the video and as a visual learner I haven't been able to complete the bustier. The cups are major issue and although the patterns designer has been trying to give me instructions via email, I just can't.
@DARIAPatternmaking
@DARIAPatternmaking Ай бұрын
Hello, no need to add 1 cm all around, seam allowance is included already. This video is showing a modification to insert additional boning on the center, so I made a seam on the center instead of a fold. To make a seam, we add 1 cm seam allowance. That's all!
