I think the strategy of not announcing it until its nearly ready is a great way to avoid crunch or overhyping, which I think were some issues that arose from Boneworks' promotion over the years. Really excited for this :)

I’ve been having hell of a year when it comes to gaming. Dying light 2’s release was amazing for me since of been waiting for it for YEARS. A little later in the year I get a quest 2 and are able to play blade and sorcery, pavlov, and Saints and Sinners. Now I have games like Saint’s Row, TWD retribution, U11 for B&S, maybe STALKER 2, and of course, Bonelab. It’s a hell of a year man.

@@Janiohae Well, I played it just fine on an old 3570k (2012) and a 1080 (2016) with the Q1 and VD. Anyway, more possible customers is alwas a good thing :) Standalone is also great for when you don't have your rig availabe, and one thing that many don't even think about is how much power a rig uses for gaming compared to the Quest which basically has the power consumption of a phone...

The thing that excited me the most from this trailer is in the first 10 seconds. The game has an engine now under the Name Marrow 1 which could mean that they sell the engine to other devs which would make so many more good vr games a possibility

almost all games are made using a specialized game engine, including the previous boneworks. The guess is that the marrow 1 interactive engine is a physics system that bone labs uses, built to be used with the Unity game engine and the Nvidia PhysX physics engine

Dear Developers, I hope this email finds you well. I just wanted to express my admiration for your VR game and share some ideas that I believe could enhance the player experience even further. Your game is truly the best in the VR industry and keeps me coming back for more. First, I think the physics system is great, but the movement system could be improved. One idea is to incorporate a system like the one in Stride, where players physically move their arms to simulate running and jumping. This would increase immersion and involve the player's body motion in the game. In addition to this, I think it would be great to have the ability to slide and kick by pressing the left or right thumbstick. This would enhance the idea of a full body avatar and make the game more immersive for players who don't have full body tracking. I also believe that players would appreciate the option for more complex enemies similar to those found in games like Blade and Sorcery. If this isn't possible, perhaps adding something to the SDK that allows modders to create more complex enemy interactions in their own levels would be a good solution. The modding community for your game is already thriving and with the full release of the SDK, I hope it will become easier for modders and developers to create entire game levels or even entirely new games. Your physics engine has the potential to become the standard for VR games with in-depth physics, but only if the developers allow for it and treat it as a fully-fledged design engine. It's makes me so happy seeing a ''small'' team of developers making the coolest and most creative VR games, that are truly designed for VR only in order to make the most of the experience. So many big studios pumping out garbage these days, full of micro-transactions, bugs and no plan to repair after they have grabbed the moneybag. Meanwhile Stress Level Zero makes games that people truly want to play. No massive ad campaigns plastered on every website like with some games, yet Boneworks quickly became massively popular purely because it's a great game. I can't wait to see what their next installment is going to be like.

Trailer breakdown for nerds: - first scene there is a di that determines your fatness - also dynamic ropes - terrain that can be altered - your legs support you when climbing - a good fist melee combat system - pump action weapons - enemies with severable limbs (skeletons) - working escalators which have alot of potential - gravity switching used when the elevator seems to break - doors to go through instead of a menu - unknown reason for it but a reference to boneworks Im sure some thing i missed but the devs have put in some really great work and all props to them :)
