I'am in New England USA and I keep zebra finches, you just popped up in my recommended, ( strange how the algorithm works) New subscriber. I have had parrot finches years ago when I lived in Florida, so hard to find here anymore. Your aviary is beautiful, but it would have to be heated 10 months of the year here.

I've noticed these days nobody builds for natural resistance in their birds, the only things we treated for were worms before the breeding season and multivitamins given afterwards. Concrete and mesh was poured deep to keep the rats out. Is it not possible to build for natural resistance, or would that result in the loss of many birds given their weakness to the diseases and costly for their owners? Nice set up.
@bonesbirds94212 жыл бұрын
Firstly thank you. I have deep ratwalls yes but eart floors. I hve done drainage rock down first then weed mat on top the course river sand over that. We do get big rain in the rainy season here,so i also treat for cocidiosus. Also like you said worms. Now breeding and keeping the best strongest young to use in the future. Cheers

how to keep away the rat or any predators in the cage? any tips? especially like a rat
@bonesbirds94212 жыл бұрын
Mate, for me i have put rat 🐀 walls at least 600mm deep in the ground concrete. Mouse and snake proofed wire. No gaps can be left around the perimeter around doors, wall sheets or anywhere. If you are going to build an aviary, i would suggest not cutting corners when you are building 😉

If i will have ez job here(sounds like will), then have voices-stalker(to lock inside), means the stalker giving idea of attacks somewhere, but if after 12am heard as "never will"(because not around). Ez job like 1hr or more. Issit feeding only? If water spraying like a line piping to exit(just on and alot of water rush out to a drain/hole)? If auto-off function "after a duration"(like a button press-by a lock)?
