As someone who grew up in the DEEP SOUTH and was raised by two academics who were very strict about grammar, I can safely say that ‘improper speak’ that comes sometimes with a southern accent is as natural as the accent itself. It’s a dialect, a sublanguage if you will, branched off from American English. I speak properly most of the time but get me around other southerners with thick accents of their own and before I know it, I’m dropping consonants and smashing words together and drawling up a storm JUST like Finn. It’s way more natural and less deliberate than you would think.

I know... I'm from Georgia, lived here my entire life. I know everything about southern accents.

As an anthropologist I will tell you accents do effect word choices and grammar.

If you're an anthropologist what's the difference between an archeologist and anthropologist

@@abhigyangaming9253 I am also an archaeologist. My degree is anthropology, and then I specialized in archaeology. Anthropology is the study of humans. It’s a broad topic. I took classes on linguistics, and anatomy, and culture, along with my classes on history, artifacts, and technology. Archaeologists specialize in studying past peoples and cultures. Linguists specialize in language, dialects, and accents. Bioanthropologists specialize in bones, from our earliest ancestors to modern times, and how our cultures and environments affect us physically. And there even more specializations and branches.

I agree with you on the 'being grossed out by competitive eating' thing. Impressive, but yeah, I don't want to watch it. I love seeing Booth and Brennan's relationship continue to develop. There are obviously hiccups but they love each other and are both trying to be understanding and accepting while expressing what upsets them and what needs to change. It's very lovely to see. Finn seems like a great new addition to the squinterns. I can see where Carolyn is coming from regarding Finn, but I ultimately agree with giving him a chance considering the circumstances.

Well, those hat people, their just basing it on old fashion etiquette. Strangely, the etiquette only applies to men. Basically, they can get bent. First off, it's your residence... do what you damn please. Also, it's 2024.

I've learned to just let Brennan make her mistakes because she is not like everyone else.

The competitive eating thing also disgusted me, to be honest. It’s impressive to hear about, but I had to skip all the parts showing it this episode, because I could not watch.😅 Also I found it strange that Brennan was having such a hard time understanding why Booth was mad. I’t doesn’t take a genius to understand a father wanting to be present in their baby’s gender reveal ultrasound, or anything else important regarding their baby. That’s a pretty rational feeling, even Brennan should have been able to easily understand that. Sometimes I find that the writers make her character a bit too dense.
