Congers inhale baits when they need to. Watch some youtube vids on divers feeding them to understand how they feed, and it all depends. Congers are very clever fish, and will mouth baits to, but majority of the time they inhale baits head first like groupers do, lightning fast!

@@bassmansbountyfishing Still envy ya though. Had a few years stationed in Plymouth but now Living in Thailand and the shore fishing sucks here. Nothing but crabs and bait stealers. some good sport at the lake with the Giant snake heads though.
