Hey man, really liked this video! I think this transnationalism you're looking at here has been defined a bit by this film scholar/author Nam Lee in her book "The Films of Bong Joon Ho." She defines this transnational nature of Bong's films by using this term "Third Place". She has this quote in the book as follows: "By combining Hollywood genres and local politics, Bong opens up what Homi Bhabha terms a 'third space' of enunciation in which the cultural differences between postcolonial society and the West are translated and articulated. Bhabha posits that recognition of this third space opens the way to 'conceptualizing an international culture, based not on the exoticism or multiculturalism of the diversity of cultures, but on the inscription and articulation of culture’s hybridity.' Bong Joon Ho’s films can be considered the product of this hybrid filmmaking, standing as he does between Hollywood filmmaking on one hand and Koreanness on the other." If you ever decide to look back on this topic I would totally recommend checking out Nam Lee's book. She is clearly super knowledgeable in all things Korean New Wave and I think you would really enjoy it!

I loved your pacing. You don't waste a breath getting information across and talk at a pace that matches the pace at which my mind desires to consume information. Kept me hooked throughout. Hats off.

The 1960s film The Housemaid also changed the ending to be aware of government censorship. The film with the original ending is lost. And The scene where it rains like crazy is memorable in the 1932 film Freaks ending sence.

Transnational trends are also starting in Indian directors. Unlike Korea, India hasn't had a military rule but with the lack of exposure to world cinema, Indian movies were often cheesy. With the advent of the internet, Hollywood style movie making has come to Indian cinema :)

i ended up having to pause this video because i actually planned on watching some of these movies and the commentator just decided to spoil these movies without any warning. next time, try to put a warning at the beginning of your video if you plan on spoiling something
