Have you tried the original by Manu Chao......it's great as well....was a pretty big hit

It's pretty amazing that while they covered it very much in the spirit of the original they at the same time made it completely their own. You should listen to the original for comparison - not necessarily react to it, but fir your own pleasure.

Great reaction! Blind Eyed M.C.Sessions and their live Blind Eyed featuring Angry Park Attendant are great for different reasons. Would be cool if you could do them together. Happy Father’s Day Sir!

Wow, interesting time you had back then! If I’m not mistaken Cindi Lauper was of some renown in choreography circles but unknown as a performing artist back then.

My number one take away from Ren and the Big Push, especially after listening to the entire catalog, is that all those guys are such genuine fans of music as a whole not any genre. They take so much inspiration from so many different genres and times that its genuinely astounding. The Big Push is almost like a love letter to music itself. One of my personal favorite tracks from them is Slow Down. It feels like Gorran is responding to all of Rens solo work and its just so pure. edit : kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXSuYmiLZ7aJgLs 9:32 is the only recording i can find of it on YT

I thiink Roy Eldritch did the original in about 1929. But i'm not a 100% on the year. Great cover of the Munu Choa version though.
