Ita a Staffy (staffordshire bull terrier) kinda created in midlands England i had one myself sometimes called the nanny dog coss you could leave your kids with them alone an the kids could do whatever they wanted to them but if a stranger came they would protect the kids an they do look a bit like a pit bull
@MrsRealistic11 ай бұрын
Yes, we only ever had "pitbulls" (bred with staffies and other variations and bloodlines) until we got Bodhi... but they were very muscular. Most people over here and in Canada call them pit bulls as a "blanket term" since the head shape and personalities are pretty much the same and they're the terrier family. Our dogs were amazing with our kids... always gentle and loving. They're by far my favorite dogs...(technically 5 breeds of "pit bull type dogs"). Ours were extremely muscular compared to the chunker in this video, 😄 so that's why I initially thought it was an English Bull terrier. The full sized English bull terrier is pretty stocky and less muscle bound than "pit bulls"... and usually around 80 pounds full grown. Ours is a mini and won't get bigger than about 35 pounds, which he is now. The name fits well since he's the most BULL HEADED, stubborn dog we've ever had! 😆

the dog is a Staffordshire bull terrier. personally they are one of the best breeds of dogs but a lot of people would hate on me for saying so. unfortunately due to poor owners using them as fighting dogs, the breed got a bad reputation. I have owned 3 and all 3 have been daft as a brush

We only owned "pit bulls" until we got Bodhi... but they were extremely muscular compared to the chunker in the video 😄 I think they're the best dogs in the world. staffs were nicknamed the nanny dogs due to their soft side with children so I can understand where you are coming from. You really confused me then but I realised. Your talking about an ENGLISH BULL TERRIER, I had one for 13 years passed away 3 years ago... right we in the UK call American breeds by thier actual name, for example American pitbull... in the states and Canada they call the ENGLISH BULL TERRIER just a BULL TERRIER. You have to call it an ENGLISH BULL TERRIER because the breed is made up of an English breed that doesn't exist anymore. THE WHITE MANCHESTER TERRIER is the main ingredient for the English Bull. Anyway great song, great reaction and the dog in the video is a STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER 👍💙
@MrsRealistic11 ай бұрын
You're absolutely right!! Thank you for the correction!! A lot of people over here call it a "Spuds MacKenzie" dog since it was popularized by the beer commercials 😆 I realized it was just a chunker staffy who probably had too many milk bones.
