Really enjoyed your tour especially my Husband who has grown Bromelids and Bonsai for many years. He is in his late 70’s now still growing them. He will forward your video to members of our local Bromeliad society. We are in New Zealand, many Bromelids he would love to grow but not the right climate conditions.👏🌈🇳🇿

You were like a kid in a candy shop! Thanks for highlighting this beautiful plant. I left Clearwater in the early 90's with a trunkful of bromeliads from my friends mom's place. Not only have they beautified my yard for decades now, I took some into school and now they are all over there, too. They're a plant that keeps on giving.

My daddy worked at a greenhouse in the 80s that had tons of bromilead. He was the caretaker and brought a couple home. BTW, I live in the Texas Panhandle and they grew like crazy here! I have never tried them outside but I may after watching this. I can always bring them back in for the winter. Pretty cool plant! Thanks Jack!!!

@@anakbukidplantscrafts242 They are expensive here, too! I don't have any now. This was many years ago when I was in my teens. I'm 60, now. I just never thought of them being able to live outside in our dry climate. If I had any, I would have to bring them in during our winter. It gets wayyy too cold here for them to survive.

What a beautiful array of bromeliads. I have to wonder how Bonita Bromeliads survived Hurricane Ian this year. It would be devastating if all of those lovely plants were destroyed. I have a few of those varieties in my Highlands County garden although I don’t know enough about them to determine which ones can thrive in full sun. After watching this video I will save my palm debris & maybe even my banana plant leaves to grow the plants in. I had been using dirt. Thanks for the tour.

You can keep them happy indoors with a low wattage LED as long it's full spectrum. 12/12 should work.
