Florida is quite similar to other Asian countries like the Philippines which are being battled by typhoons, some are very strong that produce storm surge just like what happened in Yolanda years back but most of the houses in the Philippines are built using the rebars, steel, concrete materials that’s why those house can withstand typhoons, floods, strong winds. Their homes are flooded yearly but all they have to do is clean the mud out of their house and they will be back to normal. That type of houses in Florida is not appropriate in that state where hurricanes come and go often.
