➡️ ➡️ Between the time of day, just before IR comes on, and the reduced lighting from the storm rolling in, this video is challenging to see the action. I marked it all with on screen captions.
Thank you, Farmer Derek, for the live cams, allowing us to observe wildlife on the farm, and Bonnie & Clyde, Great Horned Owls ❗️
3-19-24: Name announcement: Owlet #1 - Annie Oakley; Owlet #2 - Wyatt Earp
Video covers Bonnie returning to the nest tree to ride out the storm with her juveniles (5-19-23). One juvie (I will be referring to them as juvies) is on the front branch, and one flies in to the stump below the nest. Bonnie arrives with prey, possibly the remainder of the rabbit she brought in earlier. Owls may cache food in places other than their nest. Bonnie rides out the storm in the nest tree with her juvies. The storm brought wind/rain/tornado warning. Bonnie and her juvies are OK after the storm! Clyde was not in view (normal for him) for this video. (While I have not yet ID'd him on post-storm deliveries, he may be one of the adults that has delivered below the nest.). The juvies knew what to do in the storm; Clyde knew what to do also. We will all be happy and relieved as soon as we can ID Clyde on a delivery. Time stamps below, including additional information, if interested.
Time stamps: Provided in DVR time; actual time is on the cam clock. (I did ID the juvies, as it is getting more difficult now.)
