This is true, he didn't give her time. Bonnie told Damon she didnt want to see Kai, and that very same day he's shoved in her face- remember she had ptsd and was struggling being around people and had a panic attack when she saw Kai- no one gave her time to heal.

This highlights something very important: One.- When damon walked away when Kai asked him to decide if stay and save her or go and leave her to die, Kai was like freaking out, full of fear, because he didn't wanted to kill bonnie. He wanted someone else to do it for him because he didn't had that streight. HE LOVED HER IM PRETTY SURE Two.- EVERYTHING IS BONNIE'S FAULT. He was good. He changed. And bonnie didn't heard; doesn't she has a bff who forgave a serial killer? - God, i was so mad at her when she left him on 1903. That made him mad, dark and made him go on a killing spree. He was left with bloodsuckers and with a broken heart. I know maybe you don't agree with me, but that's my point of view... I love bonkai tho.

Leslie Goulding Well, maybe not everything is Bonnie;s fault, but mostly I agree. I was so pissed of when she was like "You stabbed me and left me alone, I tried to kill myself etc.". Like she forgot that he's done that before, trapped alone for I don't remember how long, trying to kill himself every day. I don't want to justify Kai, but he wasn't born a monster. And after a merge he actually became a better person, but Bonnie betrayed him and I can believe that it was too much for him- firstly he was destroyed and betrayed by his own family and later by the girl she probably loved a little bit. I still think he wasn't so bad as Klaus used to be.

I think that my three favourites Bonkai moments will be : - 6x07 : twisted scenes between them but love the chemistry & the tension - 6x16 : love the "cold reunion" between them. Kaï was cute when he apologized - 6x08 : when he told her about his father, he shared part of his history with her, so that was special in some way..

I don't like how people are blaming Bonnie. I mean sure she left him there but come on. Kai kept pestering her. He should have kept his distance and tried to show her how much he changed from afar. Like asking for forgiveness in letters. Or sending her her favorite flowers or something. He should have given her time and space to cope and grieve for herself. For her pain and suffering and slight mental break. Maybe she would have forgiven him. Maybe they would have even slowly began a relationship. First friends then something else. Whatever. Just wishful thinking. But this really is JP's fault. I read on tumblr that Kat, Chris, JP confirmed they were gonna have a romantic relationship after Kai had his arc. But yeah. Worst writer, executive producer, etc. ever. Show would have been amaze-balls. Brought in more views. Shame...

I responded to a comment below concerning blaming bonnie...SMH... I'm posting it again and as a bonkai shipper...sigh... I try not to respond to bonnie haters but i have to. I am a bonkai shipper but bonnie has every right to exact revenge as she sees fit. She was tortured and kai left her behind. Second and most importantly, no one informed bonnie that kai saved her life and prevented her from committing suicide. Oh yes, that little detail. Third, bonnie never saw "the new kai". While Jo, elena, damon etc and the AUDIENCE saw a changed kai, bonnie never really had a chance to. Fourth, tvd writers always make bonnie the one responsible for everything going wrong since JP is/was never a fan of bonnie/kat. Let's conveniently forget that it was Damon who came up with the plan and manipulated her in order to free his mother. Fifth, tvd's core audience is made of tweens and teens who are not aware of how tv writers use psychology to sway a character in a certain direction, as well as its audience. Hence females, especially bonnie, are mostly blamed for everything while their male counterparts get away with murder ....literally. Last, some ppl use ANY opportunity to crap on bonnie and blame her for everything...kinda like Obama hate...damn if u do, damn if you don't. I'm so sick of this nonsense and bonnie haters! I know some ppl just swallow whatever JP dishes out, but for the good of humanity, use your brains and learn to think for yourselves rather than be spoonfed any and everything from the writers.

You would think females in the audience would know better and actually root for a character who is one of the best depictions of a strong and assertive young woman on television. I don't want to bring ethnicity into this but one has to wonder if certain members of the fandom hates Bonnie because she is a black woman. It is well known that racism is alive and well throughout the teen/fantasy/sci-fi fandom, and black female characters get it the worst (especially when paired with handsome white male leads). From Lacey on "Twisted" to Cassie on "Supernatural" to Guinevere on "Merlin" (and on and on) it seems that jealous white females in the fandom save their venom for these characters and in the case of Angel Coulby (Guinevere from "Merlin") it spills out into the real world and the actresses are attacked personally.

A "fan" once tweeted to Angel that the government should pass a bill stopping from her from reproducing. Some of the fans object to her because she is black whereas the Guinevere of Arthurian legend is described as white. There have been some n-word usage (which were all removed from websites I saw them on). Angel has even been accused of only getting the role of Gwen by giving sexual favors to the show's producers. Most of the Angel Coulby hate however seems to be because in real life Bradley James loves her and they have supposedly been in a relationship since 2011. It's something like Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs. Unbelievable!

I've been trying to parlay from being really upset by the racism to emphasising the positive(It's a process).....thus i hope Angel's life is happy and full of love despite the negativity, with Bradley ;) Curiously, alot of bwwm relationships are quite strong and loving in real life and some fans hate that ie Kat Graham and Ian Somerhalder, Nicole Beharie and Tom Mison, Avan Jogia and Kylie Bunbury etc etc. I hope all these actors and actresses continue to bloom despite the negative feedback. I remember FKA twigs being shocked at the racism when she first started dating Pattinson. He's no Kol (my Bonnie OTP) but I liked their dynamic. It had so much potential. But the writers decided his character arc was too messy and forgot the fact that he was sociopath who now had a conscience! I mean that storyline is writing gold. A sociopath with a newfound conscience learning how to develop relationships and fall in love! But nope, they just wanted to clean house and he was eliminated. I'm really unhappy about this as I adored this character and his interactions with Bon Bon.
