Lyrics:
When the sky is falling and you're looking round for somewhere to hide
Did you ever call out to someone
Did you ever call out to me, I've never been gone-
I've been right here by your side
There ain't nothin' but clouds
There ain't nothin' but clouds in your eyes
To the pounding, pounding of our desperate hearts
Nothing could have torn us apart
There were times we had it all
There were times we had it all

Thanks for checking this video out 💜 The male vocals are by Todd Rundgren - he was busy on tour when we filmed the video, so Hywel Bennett stepped in to mime the male part.

It hitting the charts and it being unknown are not the same thing.
@Alexander-jc6lq
@Alexander-jc6lq 4 жыл бұрын
@@Dermacrosis I wrote this comment a long time ago. Despite it not getting in the Charts and because the direction music has gone in since 2000, no many in the UK know of the song. I would say that you have to be 'really' interested in your music to just even come across it. Therefore the likelihood of anyone who was born post-1990 who would listen to Bonnie Tyler now must be extremely marginal. However, it's different for those who were born Post-1970. Sadly songs are just 'forgotten about'.

Desmond Child who wrote "If You Were a Woman", Edyth Wayne and Ronald Dunbar who wrote "Band Of Gold" and Child who wrote "Lovers Again" all on the same album. Then there is John Fogerty who wrote "Have You Ever Seen The Rain", Alan Gruner who wrote "Getting So Excited", Ian Hunter and Eric Bloom who wrote "Going Through The Motions". There is no one as prolific given how many he wrote songs for but there are many who can come close quality wise.

You're absolutely right. Marketing was minimal and failed. Real shame, especially having it so easy with the success of Holding out for a Hero. Beauty of an album!

@@MarcByrne Funny thing is nower days it could have been a raging hit. People go on about how great things were back then musically, but forget that the power was with the radio stations and studios and if they decided not to publicise something it failed. Nowerdays with social media, as much as I dislike that term, iTunes, Google Music, video streaming services etc the fans can get a song, and album, to number one without it even getting near a radio station let alone a record label. Back then the power lay with the big corporations now it is in our hands where the music we listen to and buy is concerned..

1st time I ever heard this song from the very second Bonnie started singing it took hold of me. The narrative in the song is a mantra for life and I get goosebumps EVERY time it reaches its crescendo. A genuine classic

From one if my top favourite albums of all time, I've just seen the video for this song that I have always loved for the very first time. Don't know how that happened. It's brilliant. Love the ott acting, the drama around the lyrics and the hilarious backing singers!!! Thanks Bonnie!
