Bonnie Tyler first stirred my soul with her whisky voice and presence in the 1980's, and she continues to do so today. True talent endures.

Amazig Bonnie Taylor version! In the 80´s, I used to dance the Air Supply version, cheek to cheek, with some special girls. It was so magic! I was 12 / 13 y.o. So young and so hopeful about love... So, now, in the face of my 51 y.o., It´s a little sad, I didn´t find my soul mate.

I love Bonnie Tyler like crazy, she's unsurpassed as a power female melodic singer. However I have always wondered why she took twelve years to record her version of this gigantic song. Had she recorded and released it on time, she would have ruled with "Making love". Otherwise she let Air Supply nail it... like forever. In Spanish, we use to say "he who hits first, hits twice".

Canção maravilhosa, como o Espírito Livre, Fabulosa e Linda como Bonnie. O início, Ópera, é simplesmente de outro mundo, homenagem. Amo esta música. 💐😍❤️

@@martinapit10 Thank you for your tender and thoughtful reply. When I read what you initially wrote, I could hear their voices in my head and wrote what I was thinking. I truly meant to disrespect at all. Anyway, I appreciate your response. My very best wishes to you and yours. 😊😊

Bonnie, I'm Brazilian and your songs are part of my life! Thanks !
I’ve just discovered Bonnie, oh sure I had heard her before but never really listened. Now I’m scrolling through everything she has sung. This lady puts real feeling into a song. Why have I not listened before?

In addition to her well-known hits (Total Eclipse, Hero, It's a Heartache) she has created a few gems that were not released as singles: Tears, Lovers again, Forget her, Mom, All I ever wanted... Her rendition of To love somebody, of Turtle Blues or of Piece of my Heart. Just brilliant!

I'm hearing this version for the first time. I always thought Bonnie Tyler has an epic voice. If I didn't know otherwise, I would have thought this was her original.

I heard once that it is the characters in the movies who choose the actors who are going to represent them. That's the same way that songs choose their singers. It's taken almost 40 years for this song to be in the voice that belongs to it, the voice of Bonnie Tyler. I know that the composer of that song was the same composer of Total Eclipse of the Heart. In 1983 it was a matter of business but now it is destiny, evolution and charm...

While Meatloaf gets most of the glory for interpreting Jim Steinman’s songs, I’ve always thought that Bonnie was the best!! Her interpretation of this song is nothing short of amazing ❤️🔥
