This song is so underrated, it starts off making you feel like your in a love jungle, then the bridge comes and it settles down, then the finale the drums and bass doubles up and you can hear a females voice so slightly in the background singing. Pure magic baked in a love oven and left on the window ledge for us to smell the greatness.

Something is happening to the Bonobo I know and love and I'm not sure if it's a good thing. This song is okay, but I've listened to the previews of the other songs on his upcoming EP on the Ninja Tune website and I'm getting a little worried. Five stunning albums, progression after awe inspiring progression; I mean, maybe it's too good to be true that the guy finally puts out something sub-par. I really hope he doesn't continue down this avenue. Other wise he will end up sounding like every other artist who tried to copy him.

I definitely get what you're saying dude; I mean if you put something off Animal Magic or Days to Come alongside this they might have a hard time figuring out it was the same artist. Days to Come was bordering on World music, especially when Bajka featured, and then you could also see some acid jazz and trip-hop, yet this is definitely is in a more generic, electronic bracket, I don't think we'd be the only ones disappointed if he put out an EDM record this year bro hahah.

hey, i understand you, but i think bonobo has already explored these crusty, melodic and beautiful hip-hop sounds. i like that he's moving forward. let the artist be free, let him do whatever he wants! personally i think he's completely aware of how people are going to moan about "oh he's going to sound like everyone else", but it has always been like that when something new was coming, right..? and a few years later we will think "oh those good times of transition when bonobo finally moved onto something new" : )

As I read through the first part of your comment, I automatically wanted to disagree with you for the reason that we all love him for. But honestly, I have to agree with you and the other guys that the sound really is changing. I would be disappointed for sure if he put out something that was widely EDM but in the same breath, I would agree with John and say that I think he does have a right to explore some of this new tone.
