The Brazilian Raintrees at 8:05 mins are outrageous ;-) ... I've never seen any like that, and I've seen quite a few, all different styles. He truly is a visionary.

Stupid question here, is electric tape a replacement for rafia? ( minute 5:23 ) Or is that on top of the rafia?
@FeelingBadBand6 жыл бұрын
That's just rubber. Bicycle air inner tubes
@lucasmonta16 жыл бұрын
That's a replacement for Rafia? Cause I'm actually from Argentina, pretty near Brazil, and assuming the situation in similar there than here, rafia is something that I don't imagine finding easily( even though I haven't *really* search for it). So knowing this would work the same way would be great
@FeelingBadBand6 жыл бұрын
lucasmonta1 Here in Brazil, we use the rubber for the same purpose. Works the same way. BUT, raffia has some benefits like letting the trunks breathe and act as a fungicide too
@lucasmonta16 жыл бұрын
Ah, good to know, thanks neighbour, will have it mind if end up not finding rafia!
