Can’t wait to pop up for a visit once your garden is set. Have an old white pine I’d like to have you work on if you are taking on work. Want to donate it to the school I work at here in Hiroshima for their ceremonies.

The Japanese word '良い' doesn't quite translate to our English words 'good' or 'nice'. We would use those words in English in the same situation, but while we are describing the thing itself, '良い' is more so describing how you feel about the thing, it can be anything from a mostly pointless passing remark, to 1000 feelings in just one syllable, and you can really hear this in the speakers voice. I've noticed a lot of Japanese words are like this, which can make translations from English to Japanese sound very odd, but because the translation from Japanese to English sounds fine, it's easy for us to neglect these subtleties as native English speakers. You gave yourself a difficult task. How do you summarise what Mr Fujikawa meant when he said a simple phrase to summarise his decades of experience? Obviously, you can't, but you made a great video out of it.

Great video to watch before working on one of my larger junipers in coming weeks. I hope I will have enough patience for that detailed wiring and finally making some of my juniper bonsai to look the way they should! :D Thanx Bjorn you are a huge inspiration on my Bonsai journey.

I hate to say this, but we may come to see that you made a good choice leaving the country. I live in Pennsylvania and I'm getting a bad feeling about the coming election. I'll leave it at that.

Great work, awesome result and lots learnt! A question regarding the surface of the live veins, they have obviously been cleaned(scraped back) to reveal the orange/red newer layers but I see lots of creamy white reveals! The question is 'how far is too far and will what is apparent cream/white turn to red/orange healthy outer layer!?' Look forward to an explanation, thanks in advance!

This has help dispel some of the past fears of Juniper as bonsai. The way you explain and show the process of design and styling is much clearer than some I've seen. Great tree as well.

"I hope we made the right choice" for me the most important thing in life is to not be mad at my past self. The decision was made and i did it with the information i had back then. The future is always unknown. Cant wait to see the completed project🙏🇯🇵❤️☀️ Enjoy life.

Its great you are making progress on the build/design. Hope all goes well. I wish when I was trying to build I got half of the service you are getting in Japan. Oh how standards and work ethics have fallen in the US.

Funny I hadn't thought about the fact my nephew is a Bjorn also in celebration for his grandmother on his father's side was Norwegian, and his sister is Solvay...also funny you don't look like a Little Bear...😂 I can hardly wait to see the finished house. And I "love" the blend of the Traditional Japanese Aesthetic with Contemporary features. I eagerly await your garden.
