Absolutely outstanding. This is the most descriptive (metaphorically speaking) video on a group planting that I have seen. I very much liked you explaining the fact that he had undertaken a bud defoliation in prep for this demo. I even gave him applause from in front of my Mac. I trust he heard it - all the way from New Zealand - . What a professional - he really is 'gifted ' - Thanks for releasing the video. . Salute Craig

Very nice indeed! How long did it take to develop the individual trees before they got to this point where they could be used in this forest planting.

I saw it right, he didn't secure the trees to the pot whit wires? The trees are secured only by the substrate?

Amazing! Not using wires allowed him to have total control of placement. I would love to know how the planting was moved without knocking trees out of place.

I would also like to know how the trees dont get knocked over when being moved around and worked on. I really liked this video and used some info for making my first trident maple forest but I secured my trees to the pot. But I did use wet akadama as well to get that mobility you need when changing your mind on a trees position where wiring to the pot right out the gate doesnt give you that.

The translator is so monotone, you're not getting any of the enthusiasm that's coming from hiroshis voice
@bjoewallace81

Dude isnt just some translator hes a bonsai professional who is upping the bar with a handful of other professionals in the quality of bonsai coming from North America. Historically Compared to Japan we have always had mediocre trees but guys like Bjorn, Ryan Neil and many others from the same generation are leading a movement in American Bonsai and are teaching advanced techniques. Whats weird is while its growing here in the US its slowing in Japan. You get all that from making a comment in how monotone the translator sounds!lol
