where can i buy some materials for bonsai as i start practicing making bonsai. can you recommend where i can avail of those needed materials?
@BonsaiIligan

When I started there were no bonsai enthusiast in our place yet so I just go to Plant shops or nurseries and look for old plants. I just look at the trunks and buy them to be cut down and make into bonsai. Usually these plants can be sold quite cheaply as these are too old and too large to become landscape materials.

what do you call that equipment u r using to grind?
@BonsaiIligan
@BonsaiIligan 8 жыл бұрын
+Rimzan Sakoor That is an arbor grinder, a smaller one also called a dremmel you can buy in a hardware store but you need special tool bits for bonsai, I got mine from Graham Potter (England Kaizen bonsai).

How long you have to tie this wire..
@BonsaiIligan
@BonsaiIligan 8 жыл бұрын
as long as the wire is not biting to much around the branches. Say about 1/3 diameter of the wire is biting then its time to remove the wires. in my experience that would take about 6 months and 1 year or more for older branches.

+REENA DMELLO You have to somehow read some basics even just in the internet. Then watch many videos. I design my videos as tutorial for beginners and intermediate alike so I recommend going back to my videos and ask questions from here on you tube. I will try to answer as much as I can. Its good that you are making some bonsai as a primary stage. Because it requires practice to become good and comfortable to make good bonsai.
