That is a beautiful tree, great job and good video too! I have one question; why did you do the repot this time a year? Shouldn't we wait for bud break?

Thank you! The Larch is best repotted between late January and February. It needs to be done before the buds start to swell, whilst it is still out of leaf but after the worst of winter has passed.

@BonsaiDirect Really? I thought the general idea for repotting was to repot right at bud break, because the energy reserves have left the roots into the buds.

@@DnHVid It is important to repot deciduous bonsai before the buds start to swell. ie. when the bonsai is dormant. This will cause less stress when the bonsai opens its new season's buds/leaves.
