I absolutely loved your work on this tree and the explanation of why you did what you did in order to achieve the style you had in your minds eye but remain open minded as you work on it take other style options, it looks a bit drastic at the moment but the end result over time will prove to be the right decision I am sure. i been wanting the japanese red pine for a while. the one with the extra small needles. i been working with our native pines here on the east coast for a few years. very slow to develop tho being single flush. i like them tho. pitch pine is one that grows great here too. im hoping to collect one this spring

@@JoshAbston138 Black pine branch, candle and needle development is coarser compared to other pine species. It does not have the detail and pet density that can give the waterfall effect.
